唐（雷·米兰德 Ray Milland 饰）都不知道自己能否称自己为一个失意的作家，因为一个作品从来没有被公众所接受过的作家怎么能是作家呢？为了排遣心中的愤懑，
Plot Summary:Don Birnam, long-time alcoholic, has been "on the wagon" for ten days and seems to be over the worst; but his craving has just become more insidious. Evading a country weekend planned by his brother Wick and girlfriend Helen, he begins a four-day bender. In flashbacks we see past events, all gone wrong because of the bottle. But this bout looks like being his last...one way or the other.

女主你说你是图啥？结尾没必要合家欢的。酒瘾者拍的很到位了
官方戒酒宣传片。Milland饰演的男主在剧院里看着茶花女，听着饮酒歌，视线不断在酒杯上转换，这场Wilder戏拿捏得针不戳。
讨论酗酒问题，一个很好的题材。诺顿有些像雷·米兰德唉。
