Plot Summary:Explores the relationships shared by the residents of a seedy boarding house in London owned by dour Mrs. Brent. Among them are busker Wanda Fleming, who is flattered by the attention paid her by rebellious pop songwriter wannabe Mickey Hollister, and former schoolmaster James Wallraven, who has been accused of pedophilia and reduced to working as a janitor in an art gallery.

“两个孤独、衰老、失意、善良的人相遇、相知并相爱了。”剧情很简单，但两位演员通过各自精彩的表演使其显得如此动人。很惊喜看到晚年的贝蒂还能如此温柔细腻、毫不用力地去演绎一个爱情故事，后半段几场戏演技大爆发。ps男二的戏份可以砍掉大半。
Bette Davis + Michael Redgrave 。。为啥会找 Davis演这种角色，看得我憋屈死了，总觉得她应该打死那小破孩才对。。Redgrave演个委屈的老师就驾轻就熟了。。很遗憾片子本身不太有意思，大概我太讨厌那个imdb评论里称之为“英国版詹姆斯迪恩”的小垃圾，美国版也讨厌。。
